iTunes music

i had all my music in iTunes. i Used the Apple Music for a while. I had decided I needed to manage space on my iPhone so I deleted it and started fresh. I had all my music on the computer to start putting playlists back on my phone. Unfortunately they would not add. I cough this for a while and now all my music is gone from my desktop iTunes. No backup available. My iTunes music has expired. What is happening and how do I get what I paid for back?

Not clear if this is part of the question, but will answer just in case.

Once you cancel your Apple music subscription, you lose access to your music within it.

Regarding iTunes purchases, you can redownload them:
