Recover iMessages from different iPhone

I was wondering if there is a way i can recover iMessages that I have sent from another phone? The messages I want to recover were sent through iMessage from a phone I no longer own. I currently have a different iPhone and am using the same Apple ID, but the iMessages that were sent from the previous phone were associated with a different number. Is it still possible to recover those iMessages since I am using the same Apple ID but different phone numbers?
