iPhone X Wireless Issues

Hello all,

I have an annoying issue that I can't pinpoint the cause of!

So I have an iPhone X and the latest Sky Broadband router. Because I have a poor mobile reception in the house, I started to notice that webpages wouldn't load even though I was on the wifi. So when I checked the settings it showed that the wifi was connected, but it was getting an IPIPA address of 169.x.x.x - essentially dropping the original IP address that the phone obtained. I've separated the SSIDs out now so that I'm only connected to the 5Ghz band but it hasn't made any difference. My question is, is this likely to be an iOS software issue, a wifi chip hardware issue or a fault with the router? Has anyone else experienced the same?

I've attached screenshots below, picture 1 - IP address and connected, picture 2 dropping, picture 3 IP address of 169.x.x.x

It's difficult to diagnose your situation remotely.

What happens when you connect your iPX to a different wifi network? If it works fine, then it could be a matter of router settings.
