Not able to login to face time

Hi ,

I have bought a new MacBook Air . This is my first apple product. I created the Apple ID and I am able to login to iCloud with the same Id .

I am not able to login to face time through the Apple ID.

I checked a few links.. I checked fr the time zones . Everything seems to be correct. But still I am not able to login to Facetime . Kindly suggest on the same
