How hot?

The Apple power block may get warmer as it will take it longer to charge your iPad Pro.

Sometimes if you switch the orientation of the lightning connector when you plug it into your iPad, the Apple power block may not get as warm.

If you are using your iPad Pro as it is charging, the power adapter will get warmer, too!

Your 10.5 inch iPad Pro didn’t come with the 12W adapter?

The 10W adapter should not be getting really hot to the touch.

With the 10W adapter, if it is getting fairly warm, NOT HOT, this shoukd be fine, but instead of taking 4 hours or so to charge your 10.5 inch screen iPad Pro, it maybe closer to 6 hours, instead, with the 10W adapter getting warm while doing so.

It has to work longer to charge up that iPad Pro battery.

The power adapter should not be getting uncomfortably hot during charging of your iPad Pro.

If this is not the case, if the 12 W adapter that came with your iPad Pro is NOT working, just bring the 12W power adapter alone ito your “local” Apple Store and they should replace thie Apple 12W power adapter for free and you can use the 12W one instead.

But the 10W one shouldn't be getting hot, just fairly warm.

But you should just be able to exchange the faulty 12W charger for a new, working one.

Shouldn't cost you anything.

Good Luck to You!
