I am missing notifications

My lock screen will display a text message from someone, but when I unlock my phone, I can’t find the message on my message app.

Msg notification issue My phone doesn’t notify of text messages when the screen is locked. I get notifications for Instagram messenger but not my regular messages. I have gone through all the troubleshooting on the help threads and nothing works. If the phone is unlocked it dings but if it’s locked it doesn’t ding or light the screen up. I have done the latest update and all the appropriate buttons are selected in my settings.

Text message notifications not showing on lock screen i have an iphone x and my text message notifications do not show up on my lock screen, despite my settings being switched on (see image). Calendar notifications, messenger notifications all display on the lock screen.
