Trying to reinstall mac os lion x10.7 from start up disk utilties. Have used my apple id but this computer has been bought second or third hand. Its an old macbook a1181. I can only get as far as this message and no idea who previous owner is. What can i do now?

Ok so i gave up after an hour. I reset nvram

And had another go after repairing disk partituon that had got corrupyed when I restarted.


Now it is working and I have the time remaining bar on tbe install mac os x screen. All looks good.

Oh that is not good. Its been bought second hand by AC who passed it on to JS who dropped it. I have been trying to fix it and erased lion to reinstall but it wouldnt because my id would not work. It still had ACs football program on it so maybe its him I need to ask for his apple id. Guess the new usb wont work either then when the postman makes it through the snow. I have created a bootable partition from a downloaded file bought off Ebay on my external hd which I am trying out. BUT WAIT...Amazingly while typing this it seems to be working.... i will let you know
