Apple Logo Screen Only

im kind not happy ive been using this ipad mini since like 2015 and i took pics and stuff i also have a load of games but now my ipad mini wont actually turn on i press the power button but it comes up with the apple logo stays on for like ten minutes then goes off i try again and the same happens my mum has connected it with itunes and now it say it wants to restore it so will i lose everything like apps even my photos and my settings and contacts or will it just do my i cloud and updates ? please answer as its restoring this second??????!!!!!!!!
