Can I create my own instruments/plugins for MainStage? Maybe just change the look of plugins even?

I can't change the software instrument from the plug-ins tab whenever I hover over the instrument name under the plug-ins tab it doesn't show the arrows that I need to see before adding any samples to that instrument. Is there any reason why it's doing this??

Do I have to connect instruments to the program in order to add that instrument to my music file, or can I manipulate files already on Logic Pro X? I want to get Logic Pro X so I can put music behind some songs I wrote. However, I don't play any instruments so the plug in feature would be of no use for me. Is there content already on Logic Pro X that I could manipulate into my own music? If so, would I be able to manipulate it to the point where it could sound just as unique as if I were to have used the plug in feature and played my own instruments?

Not sure exactly what you are asking here?

You need to develop your own AU plug-ins if you want to use them in MainStage.

You can however create custom patches and layouts if that's what you are after.
