Question: tv wont register hdmi

HDMI cord and tv are fine, but my screen won’t share when I plug the hdmi into my laptop. When I go into display and hit option, nothing happens.

Hi JoeC95,

Try these steps:

  1. Leave your Mac turned on while you power off the HDTV.
  2. Unplug the HDMI cable from the Mac and plug it in again.
  3. Power on the HDTV.
