How do you make a linear fade in/out for audio?

I'm trying to add a linear fade in, to my audio in FCP. However, when I control-click, nothing happens. I've clicked and dragged the fade tool (dunno the name) to where I want it, but... how?

Can Keynote audio tracks be faded out with a build-out effect? Is there a way to fade out audio tracks with a build-out effect in Keynote? For my use-cases it absolutely does not work with pre-made sound tracks that have hard coded fading, as have been suggested mutliple times in this forum, such as Garageband editing etc. My audio track is playing across slides, and slides are advanced manually. So there is no way knowing where the music will be when it reaches the slide where it's supposed to fade out. Today, all I can do is stop the audio track entirely. Which sounds awful, and ruins the whole presentation experience.

Sound clip inside a FCPX transition First of all, apologies for what may be a trivial question. I'm obviously a noob when it comes to FCPX and Motion. However I have create a somewhat lengthy (4 seconds) transition in motion app. In that transition I added a few audio clips (simple sound effects). What I play it in Motion, the transition plays perfectly including the audio files. However, when I use that same transition in FCPX, the video transitions perfectly, however the added audio clips are not being played. Now my question is this, why is my audio not playing in FCPX? Have I done something wrong, or can FCPX even support audio inside the transition object? Thanks in advance. Cheers Radek

Right-click on the fade curve that you create and you can change the fade behavior.
