Mac Book Pro 2009 El Capitan mysql ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file

Mac Book Pro 2009, El Capitan 10.11.6.

I reinstalled MySQL and I'm getting this "ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file".

Mysql won't start from the preference pane of the terminal. I need help please and thanks.

Mac mini, Mac OS 9.2.x

The server gave an error during download: 500 Internal Server Error I am trying to update a hand-me-down 2014 MacBook Air to Big Sur and keep getting the "The server gave an error during download: 500 Internal Server Error". I have tried safe mode, restarting, signing out and in of App Store, different times of day, different wifi networks, and nothing seems to work. I have tried installing an older version of macOS but those also give the same error. Any ideas are appreciated.

Terminal mac os catalina launching mysql 8.0.25 I'd installed mysql 8.0.25 and can't launch it from Terminal, please where can I find detailed instruction as I am a newbie?
