The automatic volume control on the Siri Remote works via HDMI CEC. You would need to program the remote if you wanted to include the soundbar.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried programming the soundbar remote to my Apple TV and it worked, but I still can’t change the volume from my controller.
You would be manually programming the Siri Remote as per the link above, that is required when one can’t use HDMI CEC
