Is my frayed Apple MagSafe Charger still safe to use?

My Macbook Pro charger has frayed/split on the skinny cable side of the charger.

It still works but I’m afraid to use it since my discovery.

See picture below - there’s some silver bits sticking out a little.

Can this be resolved using electrical tape?

Is there a janky way I can more securely attach charger to its port for my old 2012 MacBook Air? The battery needs to be replaced, which will cost about $400. It works fine if the charger is plugged in, however, since it is attached magnetically, it gets disconnected very easily. Once disconnected, the MacBook immediately shuts off. I'm wondering if there is some sort of janky way I can more securely attach it. I'm pretty sure super glue would damage it. Not sure if tape would be much effective either... Any ideas?

USB-C Charge Cable Making Crackling Noises When Stretched Out I bought the 2019 MacBook Air two weeks ago and have been using it frequently on the go. Because of this I tend to wrap up my charger. I have found that every time I unwrap it, my charger makes crackling noises similar to the sound of a glow-stick when being activated. Has anyone else had this issue or should I return to Apple for a replacement?

Macbook Air going dead after charging with generic USB-C cable I messed up my USB-C cable to my 2020 MacBook Air. I bought an Apple one from Best Buy, but it was too short. So, I found a generic one on Amazon. Now, last night I left the MacBook with a 77% charge. I open it today and it's dead. This is the second day in a row this has happened. Could the dead battery be from using a generic USB-C charger? I bought an official one from Apple just in case. Anyone else have this issue?
