I got the new iPhone X. I am not able to restore info from my old phone that was backed up on iTunes. It tell me information is corrupt or not compatible. Can anyone help?

I have updated my phones to 11.2.6 restarted both devices and backed it up. However I still get the corrupted backup error message when I try to restore the backup from my iphone 7 to the new iPhone X! Please help!
Try Settings > General > Software Update on your new iPhone X. Then try the restore again.
The original restore would fail if your iPhone X has an older iOS version than your old iPhone.
I had the same experience w/my new iPhone X, and sberman is exactly right. Make sure all updates are done first before trying to restore from backup.
