How “waterproof” is the iphone 8?

I had mine with me Into the blue lagoon in Iceland, and it made it through the 3 hours I was there without any issues.

Just remember to keep it not under water for more than 30 minutes at a time. (Since we took a lot of pictures and movies that wasn’t any issue )

It took some time for the water to dry out of the speakers before they worked as normal again (the sound was “blocked” by the water.

So remember FaceTime before dipping it!

Same with my Apple Watch Series 1 waterproof but too some time before the speaker gave out rich and clear sound because of the water inside.

NB! This is done on my own risk and you should do your own reconsideration before doing the same.

As it is not recommended by Apple to swim with a phone or watch

But still no issues whatsoever so far hehe

It isn’t. It is water resistant. Try not to get it wet if at all possible. Get a protective case for it too.
