Deleting photos on older ipad

My old computer died, the one our ipad was setup with. I have a new computer, now I cannot delete the older photos. Photos taken after that can be deleted. Help please.

Were the photos synced to the iPad from the old computer by using iTunes? If so, see the following: Delete photos and video synced from iTunes when you can’t access the originals - Apple Support
