Urgent must scan with Umax Atra 3400

Help. I have a PPC imac g5 and need to use an old umax astra 3400 scanner for work for Monday.

I tried vuescan but image is black.

Where else can I get drivers?

I had a Umax 3400, and it worked with Vuescan, so I wonder if you have a hardware problem. You might check that you have the proper white and black points.

In any case, I think you would be better off with a scanner where the manufacturer offers OS X support. That is how I solved my problems with it. It could be cheaper than the software you need to run this old scanner.
