Can you also upload a screenshot of your display ? It would come in handy during the appointment to prove that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Thank you for your reply!
Yes they are persistent. I have already made an appointment at the local Genius Bar, but their diagnosis is very predictable. I'm sure I will have to pay at least 500 € for the reparation. And what is disappointing is that I am not responsible for this damage, as I am so careful about my MacBook that I even bought a protection case to avoid any damage.
Apparently, this is a recurring problem with the LCD Retina screen. Very annoying to go through all this knowing that I paid 3000 € for the product.
They kept my Mac for evaluation and diagnostics and finally they told me that there was a problem with the display. They said that it happened because I left my computer open for several hours on a same background so it left a mark, although I have a hard time remembering when that could have happened. Good news is is that I bought it in Europe so according to European law I had a two-year warranty so they did not charge for the reparation. I hope you find a solution to your problem as well ! Good luck
Are these persistent? If you restart the computer do they still appear? Your display may have a problem so I would make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Get a diagnosis.
Same here, the issue just started, but mine is much worse. if you fill the screen with solid red/green you can really see where the problem spots are - but if you fill the screen with solid blue you can't see any spots at all - must be affecting only the red/green part of the pixels?
In SystemPreferences->Display:
Is Night Shift turned on?
Is the Color set to non-standard? Try recalibrate.
Resolution set to satandard for this display?
I had my retina screen replaced via the recall in 2016 (for degradation of screen protectant) and my replacement screen is now degrading again. If I have to pay, I'm going to be upset.
Hey mate, I actually have the same issue but have not brought my mbp 2016 down to for an evaluation yet. What did the technicians say about yours?
"because I left my computer open for several hours on a same background"
that was correct in the last century. Now it is nonsense.
Good that it was repaired free of charge.
