Pop up sites on My iPad Air 2 causing grief!

Ok I have searched around and can’t seem to find a real good solution. How do I get these stupid pop up sites to keep from interrupting my web surfing? I have tried clearing the history like some have said but as soon as I go back into Safari it comes righ back. Please help! Thanks!

Why can't I block a pop up on a particular website? Why can't I block a pop up on a particular website? The Safari preference shows that pop ups have been block on this site. Strangely, the pop up does not show on Chrome or Firefox. I have iOS 11.2.3. on MacBook Pro 2020.

Blocking pop-ups in Safari i'm using an iphone 8 and get constant pop ups from fake amazon contests that are driving me crazy. it's gotten to the point that i can't use safari at all anymore, which isn't very convenient since apple defaults to safari. i installed the firefox app on my phone which works fine, but i have to manually open it every time i want to use it. i've tried resetting my device, updating software, clearing the history/cache. i also blocked pop-ups, turned on fraudulent website warning, etc., etc, etc., and NOTHING works. i see other people have been having this problem for quite some time, too. does anything work? thank you
