ATV doesn't stick to 4K HDR...need help!

Hi, I have an ATV 4K. I have very good quality HDMI cables. When I turn on my system (ATV > Yamaha RX-V581 > Samsung 4K TV), the ATV is set to 720 SDR. I have to manually set it to 4K HDR, or Restart the ATV and when I check, the format will be set to 4K HDR.

I'm trying to figure out why I have to set it all the time or Restart the ATV. Again, I've tried numerous cables and the same thing occurs with all of them.

Am I missing something?

Can't get 2022 ATV to show HDR10+ Content Greetings everyone. I purchased a new 2022 Apple TV 4K specifically because I have a 2018 Samsung UHD TV (UN50NU6900). According to the specs for this TV is supports HDR10+. However, I can not get my TV to show me that it is playing anything other than HDR. According to what I have read, I should see HDR10+, in the image below, when playing content that supports that HDR format. This is what I see regardless of what content I play. (Of course If I am playing Standard Def or HD content I do not see anything on that button.) So far the only movie I have found that is "encoded" in HDR10+ is Die Hard, so I bought the movie (which I wanted to do anyway): This is what I see when I "View Details" in the TV app. While I am playing the movie the Info says this: I've tried a handful of different HDMI cables, and various Video settings on the ATV. Nothing I have done has changed what the 1st image above shows me. How can I make sure I'm getting HDR10+? Thanks, everyone!

Match Content does not appear in video and audio settings after software update to 11.2.6 Just purchased an ATV 4K, In the video keeps going to 720 P. I purchased a new HDMI cable for this, but it still keeps saying my cable csnnot handle 1080p! Searching through help and discussion forums, it looks like I am even missing menu option in my settings. I’m getting so frustrated, I’m about to return it and go back to my first gen ATV.

Optimal tv4k 2021 Settings? One of the few network cable show we watch is on CBS through the DirectTV Stream app on AppleTV 4K (2021.) We are viewing on a Samsung UN65AU8000BXZA. I have the ATV set to Match frame rate and content at 4K SDR. The picture is terrible! I played with settings a bit and found the picture became clearer by setting ATV to 1080p SDR (Playing back the recording of the episode.) This seems to be an even greater problem after installing HDMI 2.1 cables this past week. So, I'm open to help about how to generally set the ATV for use with this setup and whether I need to manually change settings in order to see the best picture on some programming. Thank you!
