It depends on the type of support, the type of device, and it also can depend on the location. There are worldwide support numbers available for many locations: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Another example: in the U.S. (at a minimum), iPhones can be sent in for repair. See the following from iPhone Repair - Official Apple Support

Start online or give us a call. We’ll send a box right away to collect your iPhone. You can then arrange to ship it to an Apple Repair Center at your convenience. We’ll deliver your iPhone back to you in 3-5 business days. If you have AppleCare+, you can also use our Express Replacement Service.

The above are only examples but examples are all I can give based on the information provided.
