Microsoft Word 2010 is a PC product. Buying any Microsoft product on eBay is just throwing your money away. Microsoft products require activation. Anything you buy on eBay is going to be a useless piece of plastic because someone else will have already activated it.
Microsoft Office 2016 is the the current version and is the only version that people should be using.
Maybe you could look on the Microsoft web site...rather than an Apple user discussion board? Are you a student or teacher? You might check with your university for any academic discounts or licenses from your school.

If you don't want to pay for an annual subscription, buy the older MS Word 2010 on eBay.
Just rechecked. I have MS Word for Mac 2011 (not 2010). Bought it on eBay new and registered it. No problems and continuing to use it.
Office 2011 is no longer supported by Microsoft. If it works for you, great, but eBay is a cess-pool of bootlegged and illegal software.
