Log out of Guest User does not complete

Have Guest User account enabled. I can log in with the Guest User, but when I attempt to log out, after clicking on the button to delete files and log out, the screen turns black with only the mouse pointer, and the system gets stuck there. Same behavior on two systems. The only way to get out is to hold the power button to turn the computer down.

Any ideas?
