Update IOS 11.2.6 back camera and flash not working

Hey, same thing happened to me when I was in Zurich a few days ago.

Turned out it was because of the cold weather.

Are you sure that it is not due to weather condition?

As I've learned, they have a certain degree range to work.

I have backed up, reset to factory settings, and restored from backup. It didn't help. I had a chat with Apple where they ran a diagnostic test. They said rear camera hardware failure. The issue definitely started after doing the update. AND the camera works in the Facebook app.

I have the same problem after my iPhone did the last update , it’s also effect my torch 🔦 can’t take photos and it say let phone cool down before use when phones not hot can’t facetime

But camera works on Facebook and video call on messenger so I don’t think it’s the camera 📷

Go to support and make an appointment with Genius bar. I had my camera replaced. It cost 79.99, half of which they agreed to pay. My phone is in pristine condition so they knew it wasn't damaged by dropping it or something. They did say they thought the camera was already failing and the update pushed it over the edge. If iit was failing, it was defective to begin with.

my previous iphone 6 ios 11.2 back ground camera still running and won't stop and then a lot of battery drain ,so u should contact Authorised apple service .

Has anyone found a fix for this? What is apple doing? I have to drive 30 miles to the apple store, and would like to know what anyone else experienced when going to Apple.

I am going Sunday to Apple. Hopefully, it will be fixed. I will post what they do. I really want to take pictures with my phone at my son's graduation!!!
