Contacts Notes field not fully displayed

When I display a Contact, only the first two lines of the Notes is displayed. I cannot scroll, and enlarging the window does not help. I cannot figure out how to see it. I've been using Contacts for decades, and I can see the complete Notes on my iPhone. This started just recently.

Am on a MacBook Air, OS 10.13.3. Contacts 11.0.

Mac stopped added contacts (I use a Google Contacts account) I've noticed quite some time that contacts both on my Mac and iPhone is flakey. I use a Google Contacts account not iCloud. On my Mac For quite some time, I have noticed that I would have to enter a contact multiple times before it would record it. Lately, it won't add it at all. I enter all the contact information and it briefly shows the new contact on the left listing and then it disappears. On my iPhone, for years I've noticed that adding notes in Contacts is flaky. I'd add a note to a contact, close the edit and the note disappears. I've gotten into the habit of copying the note before I close so that I can re enter it when it disappears. Eventually it captures it. I see this is happening to others. Come on Apple. Very frustrating.

Contacts—entries disappear before saving & jumps to other cards. Adding contacts in a relaxed manner has become impossible. After opening a new contact form and entering one name, the program jumps to an existing contact with that name in it, or it just disappears. I've had to develop a workaround. It works quite well, but is annoying: I put all the data in the Notes App. Then I copy one datum and paste it in the right category. Then I immediately save the file. I put in the most unusual item first because I often have to search for it because the file has disappeared. I do the same for each datum until, after a few entries the whole file stops disappearing. The key seems to be saving quickly, which isn't easy while typing with two fingers.

iOS 15.4.1 for iPhone I purchased an iPhone 8 with iOS version 15.4.1 already installed on the phone. I have the following questions as these actions are a bit frustrating. Contacts: after viewing an individual contact I normally close the individual contact which then returns one to the list of all contacts. When opening Contacts the next time it defaults to the previous open contact and not to the list of contacts. I would prefer it if the app were always to open in the list of contacts. Notes: after viewing a note I normally close the note which then returns one to the list of all notes on the phone. When opening Notes the next time it defaults to the previous open note and not to the list of notes. I would prefer it if the app were always to open in the list of notes. Previously I used an iPhone 6 running iOS 12. something and the above issues were not experience using iOS 12. Is there a setting one can change in iOS 15.4.1 to ensure that these apps default on opening as described above?
