Question: Dropbox won't sync

Hi:

Just got a new iMac and I'm trying to sync with Dropbox, but keep getting a "you're not connected to the internet"error. Google the problem, but none of the fixes seem relevant, as I'm not running anti-virus software, so that's not the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Haven't emailed them, as numerous people say it doesn't help. I should try tweeting. That usually works. : )

I've changed Dropbox proxy settings to no proxy, and redownloaded, turned the firewall off and on, added Dropbox to the exceptions. None of it worked.

I'm running v44.4.58. I have auto-detect set for Proxies, Enable LAN sync is checked. I'm logged in of course. 😎

Not sure what else it could be. It's a pretty simple app.

You can post a EtreCheck report. Might reveal something.

Yes, I've never had it on. I was just trying every option I could think of. All the same settings. Works perfectly fine on my MacBook Air. Though it seems to me I had problems getting it to sync, too, at first. BUt so long ago, I don't remember what I did.

Thanks
