Complex searching for files w 10.13.3

How can I use Boolean logic to find files? For example, I want to find all the files that contain 'Zzzz' and 'Yyyy' but not 'Xxxx'.

I need the operand NOT - a hyphen or the word NOT doesn't seem to work. I take it AND is just a space?. And what about OR?

When is it better to use Spotlight vs a Finder window?

TIA.

In addition to all the tips in the support document that CountryGirl linked to, you can do very easy Boolean combinations using the GUI.

The not so well known trick: if you hold down the Option key, the + button turns into an ellipsis and all sorts of new combinations become possible.

Apologies if this is mentioned in the article but looking quickly on my iPhone screen it didn’t seem to.
