iPhone 8 bluetooth not pairing with BackBeat FIT (Plantronics) headphones

Does anybody else have issues with pairing their iPhone 8 with BackBeat FIT wireless headphones (or other headphones)? It seems to pair fine with my bluetooth speakers. It has the most updated iOS 11.2.6 but it seems to not even pick up the signal from the headphones. I only just recently upgraded from iPhone 6 Plus - and the headphones worked find with my iPhone 6 Plus which is ironic considering iPhone 8 doesn't have an earphone jack so the wireless headphones will be more useful now than ever 😟
