my dad came back from London few days ago and he is not able to login to Apple with his Apple ID . Anytime he tries logining in it keeps telling him a code has been sent to his other phone(two factor authentication) mean while he has logout from that phone so he is not gaining access to the code . The next option was that a code has been sent to his trusted phone number and the number isn’t working here in Ghana because it is a Uk number
One of the recovery process I was able to skip it and the next thing that came was to fill in the credit card information . I did that and I was asked to put in a new trusted phone number so I filled in with the number he is using in Ghana now and it’s two days now no code has yet been rece
I went to account recovery , skip the trusted phone number , provided information of his credit card , fixed in a new trusted phone number (his Ghana number )and no code has yet been received
You can't skip the trusted number part.
You must provide the original trusted number in order to recover the account. Otherwise the process has no proof of the rightful account holder.
Possibly due to skipping the first part.
Have you ever entered that number in a previous attempt? That may explain why you can skip it now.
