Problem in back copy and update ios

I have two problems. I have new iPhone but I can’t start to use it because my old iphone has copiedback last time 4.9.2016. Automatic back up is on, and I have space in icloud. I tried to copy back up manual way but it cancelled every time.

Other problem is that my ios 9.3.4. And my husband has ios 11.2.6.! Everytime I try to update the latest ios it fails and shows a message ”the update can not be verified. Update 10.2.1 failed because you are not connected to the Internet”

But i am connected to internet all the time and i use my apps and safari. It is also strange that the update 10.2.1 is the latest version of ios that the phone offer.

So, I can’t start using my new iphone because the latest back up is from 4.9.2016 and i can’t update the latest ios.

Next step is that i will sell my iphones and change back to android.
