Does anyone know if there is a way to toggle the cursor zoom function using the onscreen keyboard viewer

Zoom (System Preference) Keeps Turning On Under the Accessibility System Preference, the Zoom function can be turned on and off by toggling the Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom. So I have it turned off. When I hold the control key and scroll the mouse wheel, suddenly this option is re-enabled and the screen zooms in. I then have to go into the System Preferences again to turn it off. But it keeps happening. Its unfortunate that this shortcut (control + mousewheel) is also used by MS Powerpoint to zoom into a page. But instead of zooming the PPT page, it enables the system Zoom again. Is there any workaround for this?

What happened to entering any zoom percentage for a numbers document? In Mojave, every once in awhile, I'll see an odd percentage in the zoom box like 116%. By then, I don't know what keys I have pressed or what I did with my Apple mouse. I've read in this Apple community that it isn't possible to zoom in at anything but the presets. Obviously, that isn't totally true or I wouldn't be getting that 116% in the zoom box occasionally. Has Apple added choosing any zoom percentage back yet? If not, why? Why was this dropped as a feature? On one post, someone said that "probably" 80% of the customers weren't interested but that's a "probably" with no source and I consider a dismissive response. I'd really like this feature back.

I figured out the answer. So for anyone wondering. In the accessibility tab, you check toggle zoom with ^ ~\_ . You turn on the zoom, Then with the onscreen keyboard you right click & hold ^ ... as you move the mouse to the shift key ( just move it off of the ^ key) & left click so the ^ button stays pressed. Then do the same with the ~\_ . & you got it. It will toggle the zoom. To toggle it back on, just press any key on the onscreen keyboard & it releases the held ^ ~\_ . Hope that helps. I knew I could figure it out. Cheers.
