Songs in iTunes grayed out

Many of the songs in iTunes on my phone were grayed Out would Not play. They had the dotted circle next to them. And BTW, I sync to a PC.

I called apple and after some hours on the phone the solution was:

a. Copy the folder with my Playlists to the Music folder on my PC.

b. try to sync

c. Remove any songs that prevent syncing from itunes. (Watch while you sync, you’ll see where it hangs up)

b. Sync repeatedly until all the circles go away.

There are are some songs which We found prevented a full synch. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Playlist gone from iPhone today randomly, and now gone in iTunes after I tried to sync.... I was listening to a playlist today in the car on the way to work. Sometime between when I turned off the car, put the phone in my pocket and walked into work, I check a few minutes later to listen to a song and that play list was completely gone. I waited all day to get home to my computer to sync the phone and restore the 300 songs in the order I wanted. I synced the phone and the playlist did not show up on the phone still. It was checked in the box for syncing that from iTunes. I clicked on sync again and now it disappeared from my itunes library. That's so weird. I need help please!!!! I didn't hit delete or anything, how could this happen and it must be somewhere right?

Songs grayed out with circle in iTunes. I’ve noticed when my iPhone 7 Plus is connected to iTunes and I’m looking at the music playlists on the iPhone through iTunes that some of the songs are greyed out with a circle next to them. Some of these songs will play on my iPhone but some don’t. To make matters worse if I resync my iPhone it will fix some of the songs but then new songs will be greyed out! I usually have to resync my iPhone several times before the songs will play. Some remain greyed out even though they play. I also noticed all of them in iTunes , are missing the artwork, but only in the iPhone tab not in iTunes itself. My music for the most part is in AIFF format from CD’s and some of those files I had to add the artwork manually. I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing the playback and syncing issue with the iPhone. When the song doesn’t play on the iPhone a window pops up saying the song is not available in my country or region which is nuts because it plays in iTunes fine. Anyone got some answers? Thanks.

Some songs are greyed out in itunes and won't sync to iPhone I copy all my CDs to iTunes so I can listen to them on the Mac and iPhone. Some songs are greyed out on iTunes on the mac (see first image below) but will play on the mac. They won't sync to my iPhone - see second image below where only the 3 non-greyed songs sync
