Photos app automatic sync with Dropbox Camera folder

Hello,

I tried to sync my Dropbox Camera Upload folder with Photos using a folder action with Automator. This works well if only 1 photo is uploaded from Dropbox, in case of multiple images, Photos reports that an Import is already started (and does not see the new files afterwards). Is there a way to only launch the script once the Dropbox Upload is finished? Thanks for your answers.

How to avoid duplicate exports of photos from Mac Photos? When exporting photos from the Photos app to a folder on my Mac it does not recognize that the photo already has been previously exported. Instead it creates a new file and adds "(1)" to the name of the file to distinguish it from the previously exported file. So now there are two copies of the same photo with slightly different names. Shouldn't Photos ask to overide or ignore if file already exists in the folder? Is there a way to avoid creating the duplicate files? Thanks. MacOS 10.13.6

“Imported photos” clearly there but not in main library Good day. Though my editing software I can successfully export photos into a specific folder and then through an Automator script update that folder into iPhoto. I can clearly see the photos in the “Imported” tab of iPhoto however they will not display in my main library hence not in the main photos display nor in any of my devices. These photos are taken on the date of export and should be shown at the end of my photo timeline. Thoughts? Thank you.

Photos editing and deleting from iPhoto Events folder I have finally migrated my 21,000+ photos into Photos from iPhoto after much hesitation as I liked/loved iPhoto so much. I am trying to understand editing and in particular editing in the folder called "iPhoto Events", which is my preferred file and way to edit photos, rather than edit an image in "Photos" at the top of the library list. If I edit in "iPhoto Events" will it edit and delete the image in "Photos" folder? I would also prefer to delete items this way. Also, is there a resource link to fully understand copies, duplicates editing and how this all works in Photos? I have not found a good link so far. Thank you!
