Trying to download macOS High Sierra

When trying to download macos high sierra on my iMac, it gives me this message: "This version of macOS 10.13.3 cannot be installed on this computer." I'm currently using OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6.

Mac Hardware Requirements

For details about your Mac model, click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, choose About This Mac. These Mac models are compatible with macOS High Sierra:

MacBook (Late 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
Mac mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
iMac (Late 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)

As Kirk mentioned, your iMac is too old. However, there is an unsupported method. If you do a search for "High Sierra Old Macs" I'm sure you can find it. Just be aware it's unsupported and if you run into problems you are on your own. Make sure you have a good backup.

Looks like I should be good.

I have 116.63 GB free storage but it says this about my memory.

Your Mac contains 2 memory slots, each of which accepts

a 1067 MHz DDR3 memory module.

All memory slots are currently in use.

Would this be the problem?

I will caution you against going the 'unsupported route" it is that way for a reason, any advice to go that way is bad, do not do it.
