iPhone SE slow-mo recording quality?

Reading recently about the iPhone 5S's "slow-mo" ability to record at 120fps and export in 720p and how the exported video quality is not actually 720p, but actually more like 480p upscaled, I was interested to know if this was still the case with the iPhone SE?

The tech specs on Apple's page read: "Slo‑mo video support for 1080p at 120 fps and 720p at 240 fps" but that doesn't specify if frames are recorded at 720p, only the exported video.
