What brand of SSD would be good for a Mid-2012 Mac Book Pro?

I have tried an SSD from Crucial, a Samsung, and now an Ultra 3D SSD and all have had issues. Mainly with waking up from sleep mode. My Mac Book was not even able to read the drive from Samsung. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I have a Crucial MX300 in my 2011 MacBook Pro. No issues, it works perfectly. I have a SanDisk SSD in my 2012 MBP. I don’t think you should be having any issues with a Crucial SSD. How did you set up or try to set up the drives that gave you trouble? Do you have any external drives or other peripherals attached when the sleep issue occurs?

What OS are you using? The SSDs I have used work with Snow Leopard, Mavericks, Yosemite, and Sierra without issues. I have not installed High Sierra and have no plans to do so.
