How can I keep phoos I have taken with my current phone ON my phone without sycing my 25,000 i cloud photos?

Since I bought a new iMac is has been all 25,000 or nothing! I hate it!

Don't enable the iCloud Photo Library on that device. This will keep them local only and you can manually transfer them if ever needed.

The iCloud Photo Library is at this time, an all or nothing service.
