WiFi loses connection when downloading

4 days ago I tried to download the popular game, Fortine. While doing this my WiFi, only on my iMac, loses connection even thought it still says I have connection in the bar. I thought this was a problem with the fornite launcher itself but when I tried to update my Lesurge of Legends client it did the same thing, dropping my WiF connection. Two weeks ago I had a similar issue where after being on my computer for so long it was also just randomly drop the connection, even while doing the simplest things like typing in a word document. I’ve tried several different fixed to this and nothing has worked. Please help.
