Trackpad & Hot keys

Hello there ,

On certain websites when playing videos live, my trackpad and hot key functions for video controls don’t work. ie two finger swipe right =FF two finger swipe left = REW Two finger swipe up or down = VOL control and space bar PAUSE/PLAY Is this a VLC issue or are these shortcuts in my MacBook Pro if so can I make VLC my default player when visiting these Sites ?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Control Youtube video with numeric keys Hello to the Apple Community, I am the proud owner of a 2021 MacBook Pro 16 inch with M1 Pro. My OS is 12.3.1. On my windows laptop, I use to press the numeric keys from 0 to 9 to control Youtube videos. However, on my Macbook with Safari, the keys 3 and 4 do not control Youtube, while the others do. Pause/Play Key Not behaving in El Capitan I'm not entirely sure whether this happened as a result of the El Cap update, but the pause/play key on my Macbook Air stopped behaving correctly. It used to only affect either spotify or itunes, so while I was browsing chrome and found a video, I could pause my music with the key, and hit space to play the video. Now, the pause key only affects the video, even if I have my spotify window open. I've seen solutions that say chrome extensions could be hijacking the function, but I don't have any that do so, and I can't figure anything out. Any suggestions?
