I couldn't figure out if there's a way to delete a whole bunch of iMessages on iMac at the same time. I need to delete a lot of iMessages from one sender but I could only delete one at a time which is extremely time consuming. I don't want to delete the whole thread.

Mouse over the sender on the left hand side of the Messages window. You will see a small X appear. Click it to delete the entire thread.
I am only deleting some messages, not all.
