Sierra. It fails to install it. Early 2011 15” MacBook Pro
I downloaded Sierra and won’t install. I’m stuck in limbo. How do I get back to my old system?

Booting in Recovery mode and reinstall macOS could recovery your MacBook Pro.

I transferred the files I needed to a desktop via Firewire. Wiped out the HD on the Macbook and re-installed the OS.
