How can I have my name automatically signed to my emails? I use Gmail on my iPhone.

Default iCloud Email Address using iPhone I created an alias email address in my Apple iCloud account and this alias is selected as the default "Send from address." If I send an email from my iMac the sender's name is shown as the alias email address, but if I send it from my iPhone (IOS 16.2) the sender's name is shown as my Apple ID/email address. I want the sender of all emails, irrespective of the device use to send the email, to show the alias email address, but I cannot find a setting on my phone or iCloud to change it for emails sent from my phone. Adding gmail address to iOS devices I use Google gmail with my Apple devices. I want to add a new email address for specific uses. If I follow Apple instructions will that create the gmail address, or do I have to create it in the gmail account first? Thanks

Setting up Mail Account like to Gmail in IOS I have the alias problem in IOS which I see members have seen solved with IOS 14.1 but I still have a problem. For other reasons I changed my Google password. Whilst it was accepted on my Mac it wasn't on my IOS devices for mail. Google app and Gmail app all worked fine. I therefore made inactive the mail accounts created as "others" and switched on Mail in the "standard" message. Of course you cannot get aliases this way. I then tried to set up the accounts again but all times I get the message "No password provided for "my name". or a similar variation. All emails from our IOS devices now go out from our gmail account name. We can only use aliases from the Mac Until Apple sets up an easier process for aliases similar to that in OSX I am stuck.

Hello sklein42,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your mail signature. You can adjust this in Settings > Mail.

Scroll all the way to the bottom, and you should see your "Signature" section there. Tap on that, and then tap in the box on the next screen to edit your signature.

Change your mail signature. Go to Settings > Mail > Signature. If you have more than one mail account, tap Per Account to set a different signature for each of them.
