Recently noticed that when taking photos with my brand new iPhone X's rear camera, there is a weird shadow that is reflected on top of it. I have attached a picture for reference, is it normal?

Same here! It happened to my iphone 5 before, then it turned out with some purple spots! I think it’s the problem of the camera lens. I am so disappointed with the same problem appeared again after 5 years!
Did you drop someone on your Camera? dust? did you test out other settings?
No, this is not normal. It is possible that if you’re wearing a phone case, the raised edges are causing this.
