MacBook Pro does not recognize IOGEAR card reader

MacBook Pro with System macOS High Sierra does not recognize the IOGEAR SD/MMC/MicroSD Card Reader / Writer Model GFR204SD when I insert it into USB port.

Things you can try…

1. A different USB port

2. Reset SMC

3. Reset NVRAM

card reader iMac 21.5 late 2015 not working My card reader will not recognize any SDC I insert. The same SDC's are readable/writeable using an external usb card reader. I have confirmed System Preferences as suggested in several posts and by Apple to display the SDC's in Finder and on the Desktop. Disk Utility reports the SDC as MBR, formatted with Fat32 when read from the external card reader attached by usb. My macOS is Monterey 12.4.

ProMaster External Card Reader My external card reader (ProMaster 6 in 1 USB) is not recognized by my MacBook Pro since I installed Mojave. It worked with High Sierra only a few months ago, so I know it's not the card reader or the card.

Built in SD Card Reader on OS Monterey 12.5 not working Before upgrading the OS it always worked promptly. Not anymore. I am using a USB card reader as for now. It seems to be a Monterey issue. Solution?
