The app bar at the bottom of my iPad keeps disappearing, how do I stop this happening please?

THere’s not a lot you can do. THe dock has a glitch that’s been with it since iOS11. To get things back to normal you can force your ipad to reboot by holding down the sleep and home keys for 20 seconds or so. WHen you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot.
However it likely will glitch again so you just have to live with it until some future update fixes the issue. On the upside, there is nothing wrong with your device. so nothing to worry about there.
