Background noise vs. dialogue on Hulu

The background noise on the Hulu app on my 3rd generation Apple TV (newer version) is very loud compared to the dialogue. I'm constantly adjusting the volume throughout my shows. Any suggestions on how to adjust/control the volume of the background noise on the Apple TV 3rd generation?

first I would make sure in the appletv's settings that audio was set to stereo if set to surround and you not having surround most of the dialogue is directed to the center speakers rather then the front left and front right which role a stereo speaker setup acts when set to surround.
