Monthly Challenge Achievement BUG

Hi all,

I’ll post some evidence in the coming days but I just wanted to create this thread as a placeholder for a bug I’ve discovered for the monthly challenges that pop up.

Basically for my wife and I we received February Challenge at the start of February but it had already calculated the activity done so far in that month without even doing it, then we realised that activity metric exactly matched that of the previous month.

Both my wife and I have different March Challenges this month and both already 5 days into March have a high recorded activity for this Challenge matching exactly that of the previous month.

For example for me it’s recorded I’ve done 1047 mins exercise so far for March, firstly I’ve only done about 200 mins so far in March, secondly it hasn’t moved from 1047 mins, thirdly I calculated February exercise mins and it’s exactly 1047 mins.

My wife has the exact same problem, her’s has recorded 25 workouts that are over 15 mins so far for March so far, again just days into March it’s not possible, we calculated all February workouts above 15 mins and behold it’s exactly 25.

Basically what ends up happening is won’t receive the achievements.

I urge all of you to look into your monthly challenge if you have received one and see if it has recorded “you have done this so far” and confirm if it’s accurate or matches what you did the previous month and if so please submit a support ticket like I have.

Seriously guys don’t unpair and pair the watch it does not fix the problem, it really irritates me that Apple support continue to provide the same stock scripted troubleshooting steps even though Apple engineering is aware of the problem, I’ve have an open support case with Apple for over a month and they already acknowledged it as a software bug with the same reports from others, I’ve just by been asked by Apple support to update to the latest software to see if that resolves it... I won’t hold my breath.

It’s now April and I’ve lost four optunities in 2018 to obtain the monthly challenge, take a look at the attached screenshot, 2 days into April and apparently my daily calorie burn average is 8,442!!! What a joke maybe people were right when they told me when it comes to fitness trackers Fitbit and Garmin were far superior!

Definitely, if there’s something you can take for granted reading this topic is that unpairing/pairing your watch is not working at all, nor having the latest software on both the phone and the watch. So don’t loose your time with that. It is always recommended to have them updated to the latest and it will be a step of troubleshooting so make sure you do that before contacting the tech support.

As an update on my situation: towards the evening of 4/1 I received the March Challenge badge although at no point throughout the month I had a clue where the counter actually is. The April Challenge is still off like iDemon’s with a superhuman recording.

Others have also reported to  . A discussion had been also started here: Apple Watch Monthly Challenge Exercise minutes (February Challenge)

Lets' hope it's fixed. Right now am sitting with a March achievement which i did not do as i took my February challenge as a March achievement.

I have a similar issue with the March Challenge but in my case is the calories count. It got stuck on the count of 19,410 (probably from February) and my March goal is 19,803.

On top of that I just lost the Women’s Day challenge - there’s no medal in the rack although the activity badges show I have 200% my moving goal.

Tech Support suggested me to unpair/pair my watch. Did this to no change.

I am having issues as well with the monthly challenge specifically for March. As of yesterday it said I only needed 7 miles to complete the challenge for March after walking 7 miles today it’s now telling me I need 12 miles. When I added up my miles for the month it looks like I should be very close to the required total to complete the challenge.
