My iPad 2 screen’s went off

My iPad 2 screen’s wen off and I tried to reboot it.And the charge sign do show up. So plz help me ASA.( I tried pressing the power and home button at the same time but it didn’t work) I also tried by slapping it at the back

have you tried to connect it to a charger and leave it there for awhile ?
