Constant fan noise 15" MBP w/ touch bar

Hello,

I just got a brand new 15" MBP with touch bar. And I can hear a contact distinct noise that comes from the fans. (Might also be just the air flowing through the keyboard?)

What concerns me is that I can hear it even when I do not run any CPU intense programs (fans running at the lowest level possible, about 2000 rpm). It is not very loud but I can still hear it as I usually work at a desk in a room alone.

I put my old 13 inch MBP (late 2012) to the table as well just for a comparison and it is completely silent even when e.g. browsing web (and I really mean dead silent).

Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Is it normal for the new 15 inch version?

Thanks

Try to reset the SMC. Hold in Ctrl+Alt+Shift and the Power button for 10 seconds, then release it. Then turn on your Mac. If that didn't fix it, go to Apple. Back up your data in case they decide to wipe it.
